As per an estimation, round 7.50 crore teenagers of this age bracket are to be administered with vaccine. Out of total, over three crore have acquired their first dose of the vaccine up to now. As of now solely Bharat Biotech’s indigenously-made ‘Covaxin’ is out there for vaccinating this age group.
According to the well being ministry, further doses of Covaxin have been despatched to all of the states and union territories for administering the vaccine to this inhabitants class.
According to the Union Health Ministry information, over 26,73,385 precaution doses have been administered to healthcare employees, frontline employees and people aged 60 and above with comorbidities. With the administration of over 76 lakh (76,32,024) vaccine doses within the final 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination protection has exceeded 154.61 crore.
