US industrial large Honeywell can pay $160 million to settle prison and civil probes in Brazil and the United States over bribes in an effort to win enterprise from two nationwide oil corporations, the federal government mentioned Monday.
Company officers supplied about $4 million in funds to a former high-ranking Petrobras official between 2010 and 2014 to win a $425 million contract to design and construct an oil refinery for the Brazilian petroleum large, the Department of Justice mentioned in an announcement.
